5 Things Not To Forget When You Tailgate

We've all been there. That moment when you arrive at the stadium, heart full of anticipation and excitement. You start setting up your tailgate, and then it hits you like a ton of bricks.

You forgot something.

We want you to be as prepared as you can for all your tailgating needs, so we've put together a list of five things not to forget!

1. Tickets

This is by far the most obvious, yet still worth stating. Do not leave home without your ticket. Otherwise this will be you.

2. Phone Charger

Have you ever actually watched the life of your phone dwindle to zero percent? It's sad, and it seems as though no amount of apps closed or time spent on airplane mode can stop the depletion of your phone's battery life at a football game. Do yourself a favor. Bring a charger.

3. Ice

We're about to drop some truth here - ice melts. You will always need more than you think you do and you can never have too much. We recommend bringing an extra cooler filled with just ice, so that your food and drinks stay perfectly cold the whole day.

4. Hand Sanitizer

Because the world can be kind of a gross place, especially when tens of thousands of humans decide to congregate on a very small piece of it.

5. Chips and Salsa

If you bring no other food, at least bring chips and salsa. It's a party classic and a good way to gather people around the tailgate for some pre-game discussions. Try our Versatile Veggies Pico de Gallo with your favorite chips! And if you're feeling particularly adventurous, give this Kale Guacamole recipe a try!
